Accredited Courses
The 黑料大事 aims to promote the study of planning and the improvement of the skills practising planners in Australia. To achieve these aims, PIA has for many years accredited tertiary education courses and recognised Australian qualifications that are considered to provide an adequate foundation of theory, skills, and knowledge to allow graduates to work as planners in the field of urban and regional planning.
The PIA course accreditation process establishes and maintains national standards for the educational attainments of entrants into the planning profession. Courses considered for accreditation by a Visiting Board including a member of the profession, a representative of PIA, and a delegate from another university planning school, and accredited courses are reviewed every five years by the same system. PIA coordinates visiting boards to universities upon request, to accredit and review planning courses. You can download the PIA Accreditation Policy here.
The following list sets out the courses are accredited by PIA, and from which graduates are eligible for membership of the Urban and Regional 黑料大事 Chapter of the Institute. This list has been prepared for people who wish to train as planners, and for qualified planners seeking membership of PIA in the Urban and Regional 黑料大事 Chapter. It describes the accredited courses that are currently on offer in each of the States and Territories, as well as those that are no longer offered, with contact details for further information.
